about

Recorded with the Solvang Featured Orchestra Players Group, an odd collection of relocated members of the Sedalia, Missouri Community Orchestra. Mrs. Helen Marf spent 2 months playing with these part-time musicians in Sedalia in 1956. Nobody is saying what the incident was, but over half the musicians ended up moving to Solvang, California. After this was recorded, engineer H.S. Murkee disappeared for a week and then reappeared, bringing 3 infants into the studio for Quilt Records's "Jazz for Infants" series. He then disappeared and has not been heard of since.
