about

Not a stranger to Quilt Records, Goozer has added his organ to many records on the Quilt Records roster, the most famous being "Having a Marfy Xmas!!!" by Mrs. Helen Marf in 1966. Nine years later, here he is with his first solo album. Having sharpened his songwriting and organ skills on the road and at his weekly Friday night gig at Philip Sumner's club "Hello Dolly" for several years, we are proud to present this batch of gig-tested favorites. Joining him are Ms. Golly Awkward on drums and percussion on all tracks, brother Fred "Fredd" Goozer on upright bass for "Me llamo Hempal"and "Clean", Alice Hovis (granddaughter of esteemed bassoon player Dr. Paul Hovis) on flute for "Crumbo!", "Holy Cats", "Paid in Onions", and "The Rustler", the Solvang Featured Orchestra Players on "Paid in Onions", and special guest Mrs. Helen Marf (taking a break from the tympani) on sleigh bells for "Me llamo Hempal". Turn the lights down low, pour yourself a drink, and enjoy!
