about

The Bassoon. One might not think of this comical,double-reeded instrument as romantic, but that never stopped Elroy, Wisconsin's Dr. Paul Hovis from wooing ladies and setting the mood for many a romantic rendezvous. "Nothing gets the blood pumping like a tune on the bassoon by the light of the moon!" is one of Dr. Paul Hovis's favorite sayings. With the help of pianist Grand Little Smalls and the Pegasus Orchestra, Dr. Paul Hovis has created a tender, seducing batch of songs for fine dining, holding hands, and gazing longingly into a lover's eyes (or eye, in the case of Dr. Hovis). You might start out lonely as you listen to this, but after the last song, you might feel that you have made a special friend. One that can cure what ails you. And his name is Dr. Paul Hovis.
